On-farm milling & mixing systems
Your complete ration — cleaned, milled, dosed and mixed in a single continuous pass, at the push of a button.
Buy grain, protein and minerals direct and mill them yourself — no processing margin, no freight on finished feed.
A uniform German Multicracker® crush and accurate, calibrated ratios on every tonne, every day.
Ingredients are dosed in ratio as the grain is milled, so the ration comes out ready to feed.
Continuous ratio batching
The M1 doesn't make batches and then mix them. Every input runs on its own variable speed drive, individually calibrated, and the control system holds each one at its exact share of the recipe while the mill runs — so the ration leaving the machine is already mixed.
K&W flexi-augers draw grain from the bottom of each silo into the M1's modular turret. Low-level sensors stop the run and alert you if a silo runs out.
The built-in vibratory grain cleaner screens out sticks, stones and debris, and the magnet separator catches ferrous metal before it can reach the mill.
The Multicracker gives an even crush with very little fine material (dust). The PLC watches mill motor current and trims feed rate to keep the mill loaded at its best.
Protein, minerals, premix and oil are dosed in ratio straight after the mill. The output auger mixes the ration on its way to your silo, wagon or dairy.

The mill
The heart of the M1 is a MAKOBA Multicracker® from Germany. Its multi-disc grinding unit cracks grain rather than smashing it — giving one of the most uniform crushes on the market, with very little fine material and no heating of the product.
| MC4A | MC8A | |
|---|---|---|
| Motor | 4 kW — 3-phase | 7.5 kW or 11 kW — 3-phase |
| Throughput* | Up to 3 t/hr | Up to 8 t/hr |

Designed & programmed in-house

10" weatherproof touchscreen driven by a Schneider Electric industrial PLC, with K&W's own software on both.
Set each ingredient as a ratio and save as many rations as you need. Pick one, press start — the M1 works out every auger speed.
Each input is weighed at several speeds on the on-board scales, so the system knows exactly how many kilos every auger delivers.
The PLC monitors mill motor current and adjusts the grain feed rate in real time — maximum throughput without overloading the mill.
Low-level sensors on every silo and input, plus drive fault monitoring, stop the machine and alert the operator before an off-spec ration is made.
A gear pump on its own variable speed drive doses oil in ratio for dust suppression, palatability and better mixing.
Run aeration fans from the M1 on humidity and temperature start conditions, with a scheduler set from the touchscreen.

Built to fit your site

Feed ingredients in from any direction, with the turret designed to your silos and ingredients — inputs configured for your site from day one.

Flexi-augers, Australian-made steel bends and custom in-house silo boots link your silos to the M1 — sized from 50 mm to 125 mm.

Compact frame with a 3-phase plug — no fixed wiring. Sight glass to watch the mix, inspection ports for easy servicing.
